Golden Nuggets

The short and long term impact of Campaign Consultation's work is often best summarized by our clients and their stakeholders. We refer to these observations as Golden Nuggets. Here are some recent ones.

Diversity

“Thank you so much for conducting a substantive and inspiring workshop, Training of Trainers II: Developing Cultural Competency and Facilitation Skills, at the National MultiCultural Institute’s Fall 2007 Diversity Leadership Development Institute, Innovation at the Speed of Diversity. This was one of our best institutes to date, with participant evaluations reflecting overwhelming satisfaction with their experience. Below are some comments from participants in your workshop:

  • “Even though I am an experienced trainer, I learned a lot about facilitation skills. This workshop has been very helpful to me.”
  • “The facilitators modeled excellent facilitations skills, and clearly demonstrated the difference between training and facilitation.”
  • “Facilitators were excellent in managing and adapting to the needs of the group with high flexibility and smooth transactions.”
  • “This was an extremely inspiring, thought-provoking, challenging and rigorous experience. It has given me personal and professional tools to reflect upon and make adaptations to my work.”

Give 5

“Yesterday afternoon, I had the pleasure of going up to Cakes for Cause – one of our 2009 GIVE 5 Recipients – in Frederick to meet with Elin Ross, the Executive Director, and present her with our GIVE 5 check. It was a wonderful opportunity to briefly meet with her and hear her talk about her experience with at-risk youth and the conception of Cakes for Cause..

Thank you, Linda and Steven. I am so grateful for the opportunity to meet with our GIVE 5 recipient personally!

Diversity Leadership Institute

"Thank you for participating in the National MultiCultural Institute's spring 2010 Diversity Leadership Institute. Your workshop, Training of Trainers I - Facilitating Diversity Awareness Workshops, was well-received and challenged people to look deeper into the issues of diversity and inclusion. You offered participants invaluable knowledge and skills, and you did all this while fostering a sense of community, and inspiring them to go back into the world and promote change"

Kudos for Campaign Consultation Social Media Monday Webshops

Campaign Consultation is doing a series of Social Media Monday webshops for VISTA - teaching the field about how to use this new technology to advance social change. Here's some feedback from the field:

"Thank you so much for forwarding the link to the SMM that I missed earlier this week! I know now that I can go thru the VISTA Campus to review any others I might miss for some reason or another.

This particular session on YouTube was great! It was very worthwhile and informational. I plan to share with the AmeriCorps VISTA members in the field and our Executive Director in hopes we can utilize this method of providing information about our organization and the work we do.

Thank you for sharing and I will register for the next workshop!"
